Teeth 5 and 6
Collin had to go out of town for four days so Grandma Betsy came down for the week to keep me company and to babysit while I went to work for Earobics for a day. While Grandma was here, I spent the days moving things from one house to the other. It was great to be able to move without Tyler being strapped in the carseat, wanting to be held or crawling under my feet as I carried and unloaded boxes. On Oct. 28, Tyler woke up with teeth number 5 and 6! These top teeth came on the same day which was great. He was a trooper!

Lombardi Ranch
On October 25 - the windiest day of the year - or so it seemed, we went to Lombardi Ranch with our friends the Perrys and the Simcoxs. Lombardi Ranch is a giant pumpkin patch! We had so much fun playing in the pumpkins, seeing the animals, posing for pictures, and eating the dust that flew! Here are some highlights from the day!

First USC game
We took Tyler to his first USC football game. We met Grandma Judy and Grandpa Jerry at Philippe's for french dips. Then we headed to the stadium. The game started at 5 which was a perfect time for Tyler.
The Trojans were playing Oregon State. Tyler was mesmerized by all of the people on campus, the noise and the flags in the stadium.
Tyler was dressed in all of his gear and ready for the game.

More teeth
So Tyler has four teeth now. The top right popped through last night. He is fascinated by these new things in his mouth. He has begun grinding this gums together. They make funny sounds. I'm not sure if he is fascinated with the sound it makes or the feeling he gets when he is doing it. Regardless, he just smiles when he realizes what is happening! He is amazing!!!

Disneyland - Trip 2
The day after Venice Beach, we headed to Disneyland and California Adventure. This was Tyler's second trip - the lucky boy! It was Grandma and Grandpa's first time to California Adventure. We started the morning in Disneyland. One of our first rides was the Matterhorn. They have a great switch pass which allows you to wait in line once but switch riders so that someone can hold the baby. It was nice for everyone to get a chance to ride!
Waiting for the Matterhorn
Giving Kisses!
We then headed over to Pirates of the Carribean. This was a ride Tyler could go on!
Waiting with Daddy for Pirates!
Sooo excited!
Tyler also got to go on Pooh's Honey ride sitting on Grandma's lap. He was amazed by all of the colors on the ride!
After a long morning of rides and fun, we took the Monorail back to our hotel (Paradise Pier) to check in and relax.
Watching the view from the Monorail
It was a wonderful trip. We enjoyed both parks and finished the day around midnight. Tyler was a trooper. The Paradise Pier was a great hotel and we were thankful to be able to stay at the park. The next morning we got up, had breakfast at Downtown Disney, then worked our way back to Santa Clarita. Grandma and Grandpa left on Tuesday. It was a wonderful four days together!
Venice Beach
My parents (John and Betsy) came down for a visit the weekend of October 9. It was great to show them the new house they helped us purchase and to just hang out. On Saturday we went to Venice, tried a new DDD restaurant (Diners, Drive-in's and Dives - Collin's favorite show), and wandered around the beach and boardwalk area.

Tyler just popped up and started crawling! Lucky for me I had the camera right there and was able to catch it. He is sooo cute and I'm such a proud mommy!

Finally Caught Up
Hurray! I'm finally caught up with my posts. A lot of posts in the last few days. Be sure to check them all out. Months 5 and 6 have been busy, exciting ones! Be sure to check back often as I'm hopefully back on track.
A Great Saturday!
On Saturday, Collin woke up early with Tyler and let me sleep until 8 am! I had been up with Tyler three times that night and sleeping a little longer in the morning was a blessing! While I was sleeping, Tyler decided to share a new trick with Daddy! He popped up on his knees and moved a little. I was so excited to see him popping up and moving, but he fell down so quickly I couldn't really get it on video. Here are my best three attempts though!
That night, Collin and I actually got to go out on a date. This was really our third time out since Tyler was born. (We went out in May when I went back to work for dinner and then in June for a movie on my birthday!) It was a wonderful evening. We went to Fleming's Steakhouse and Wine Bar - DELICIOUS!!! Grandpa Jerry and Grandma Judy babysat for us and the three of them had a wonderful evening at home. It's amazing what three hours will do to help reconnect a married couple. We were even good and didn't spend the whole time talking about Tyler - just a little bit! Thanks for babysitting for us! Tyler - thanks for being so good!
