Last week I took Tyler to a photographer's new studio for a photo session. She is just opening her studio and wanted to use Tyler for some samples. I figured it was great for me because I would get some cool free pictures. I had no idea they would turn out as great as they did! You may have to enter your email and name to get in, but I think it'll be worth it! =) Click here to check them out!!!

Beach Day!
On Sunday, the three of us headed down to our old stomping grounds, El Segundo. After Tyler's morning nap, we hopped in the car and made the 30 mile trek to Rinaldi's for lunch! It was delicious. Isn't it amazing how you miss old restaurants when you move! We then walked to visit our neighbors. It was fun surprising them and seeing how big the kids got in the almost 3 years since we've moved! After stalling long enough, we headed to the beach. We covered Tyler in sunscreen, put on his hat and then made the trek to the water. He liked being in Mommy's arms!
We sat on the sand and Tyler wasn't quite sure about it.

Then I handed Tyler over to Daddy!
Then Daddy put him in the water!
Poor Tyler DID NOT like the cold water. One last family picture and it was time to go!
At least we tried another experience with him. Next time maybe we'll have better luck. We have a video of him putting his toes in the water in case you really want to see the reaction! Mommy and Daddy had fun that day! Poor Tyler didn't!

Gymboree with Daddy!
Today the three of us got to go to Gymboree. I got to take pictures of Tyler and Daddy playing together. Ashlea, Harry and Keaton were there too! Check out how much fun was had!
Disneyland!!!
We took Tyler for his first trip to Disneyland and California Adventure yesterday. He had a great time and survived 8 hours at the two parks. He was such a trooper. The only ride, other than the tram from the parking garage (which he thought was the coolest), that Tyler went on was It's a Small World and he LOVED it! I'll post a video of his reaction during the ride. It's just priceless the way his eyes darted all over. When we finished the ride, he fell fast asleep in his stroller. He must have been dreaming of all that he was seeing inside the ride. Thanks to Collin's family from Michigan for the tickets! Grandma Judy, Grandpa Jerry, and the three of us had a GREAT time! It will be so much fun to go back when he is older!

Halloween Poll
I've posted a little poll on the left. I thought I'd see what all of you think about what Tyler should be for Halloween! If you choose "Other" could you post the other idea under the comments here? Thanks!

Sleeping Angel
Last night Tyler, who normally sleeps on his stomach, flipped onto his back. He was soo cute and peaceful holding his blue blankie from Aimee. I had to take a picture. You know he is really out when the flash goes off three times and he doesn't even flinch.
Oh, and did I mention he is getting really BIG?!? Stop growing!!!
Good Morning!!!
Tyler is a morning person. He definitely doesn't get that from his Mommy so it must be from Daddy! This morning I was able to catch his reaction when I first walked into his room to pick him up. Again, I used the camera incorrectly so the video is sideways. One of these days I'll remember how to do it correctly! =) Oh, and he has now learned to do raspberries and it is his favorite thing to do first thing in the morning in his crib.

Happy 5 Months Tyler!!!
Today is Tyler's five month birthday. I cannot believe that he has been a part of our lives for this long. Sometimes it seems surreal. He has brought so much happiness to our lives and I know both Collin and I don't know what we would do without him. He is growing so much each day. He's learning to scoot. On the bed, he's able to burrow his head and then push his legs under his tummy to thrust forward. It's amazing to watch him travel around after the remote control or his toys. This morning he started try it on the carpet. It's just way too precious to watch. Before long, he'll be crawling all over. Thanks to all of you who have contributed to Tyler's life already. He is so lucky to be as loved as he is by everyone!

Tyler's Wish List
Last week Tyler and I visited the toy department and I made a list of toys that made him smile or giggle with glee. I figured it'd be a good idea to post them here (see the list on the left) in case Grandmas and Grandpas (or anyone really) is looking for ideas! We aren't asking for anything, but wanted to make sure you all knew the list was there. =)
Bubbles, bubbles everywhere!
On Thursdays we hit up Gymboree. Both Tyler and I love going. This week I brought my camera and caught Tyler enjoying one of his favorite parts of Gymboree -- the bubbles!!! They are the best bubbles and stick to things for a long time. Notice the top of his head and his right cheek!

I also brought my camera last week. He had a little meltdown at the end last week, but I did capture another favorite - the parachute and more bubbles!

Peas Please
Today we added another food to Tyler's diet - PEAS!!! Here are two quick videos of his first taste of peas. We started the meal with rice cereal and then added peas. Tyler is just figuring out what he thinks of

Mario and Luigi - aka Tyler and Keaton
For our friend Ashlea's birthday, we took Ashlea, Harry and Keaton out for dinner at their favorite mexican restaurant, Maria's. While waiting for our friends to arrive, Collin found a vending machine that he couldn't resist. These poor boys are really in for it with all four of us as parents. Check out their mustaches!

Yum!!! Rice Cereal!
Today was a very BIG day at the Schoenfeld household. Tyler had his first taste of rice cereal and loved it! I have been hesitant to get him started on solids because he has bad eczema. I have been trying to get that under control before I started solids. We are almost there, but Tyler has been anxious to start on solids. Every time Collin or I eat in front of him he reaches, grabs or gets frustrated. I figured it was time. Here is a video and some pictures of the event. You'll see that he LOVED every minute of it and will hopefully be just as excited when we try again tomorrow.
