Thomas the Train comes to visit Fillmore, CA once a year for two weeks. We decided to take Tyler to check it out. At this point he has NO idea who Thomas the Train is. He has never seen the TV show, never read a Thomas book and has an unopened Thomas the Train set from Christmas still to be played with. It was an overcast Saturday morning and rain was forecasted yet we decided to give it a shot. Fillmore is only 30 miles away from us but Tyler did not make it...he fell asleep about 10 minutes before we got there. We were able to transfer him to the stroller. He woke up just before Thomas arrived in the station!

We settled into our seat in one of the outdoor cars. Tyler was excited to watch the other trains go by.

We ended the trip with a little lunch at one of the little restaurants in town. It was a fun, windy day. Tyler found his love for Thomas and things in our household have not been the same since. We have TRAINS everywhere now!
The next week I took Tyler back to visit with Thomas with some of his friends. Since it was not crowded we got to sit right up front on this trip!
